On behalf of the AFMLTA and MLTA ACT, welcome to the website for the 2013 biennial National Conference. This event is taking place in the nation’s capital, Canberra, as it celebrates its centenary of foundation.
This event held on a biennial basis is Australia’s largest language teaching and learning gathering. Participants from across the country and the world come together to share and experience topics of interest. Involvement in the program will stimulate and challenge participants to reflect deeply on the past, present and possible future issues surrounding languages learning and teaching. The conference will also provide a forum for the sharing of ideas, research findings and best practice approaches to language teaching and learning in Australia and from around the world.
Feel free to explore the site and what it has to offer. Session abstracts and schedules can be accessed from the drop down list on the right of the screen. Maps of ANU and social activity information are also available.
Don’t forget to check out our sponsors and partners for this event from the Sponsors & Partners page or the box on the right. In particular we thank Language Perfect, our Gold Partner for #AFMLTA2013, the Japan Foundation and Australian National University.
